The News (Al-Naba')
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej) before The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ What are they questioning each other about? 1 About the great news - 2 About which they have been differing? 3 Surely yes, they will soon come to know! 4 Nay, again, but they will come to know! 5 Have We not spread the earth like a bed, 6 And the mountains as stakes? 7 And We have created you in pairs (male and female, tall and short, good and bad, etc.). 8 and We have made your sleep [a symbol of] death 9 and We appointed night for a garment, 10 And made the day for livelihood 11 We have built above you seven mighty heavens, 12 And We made a shining lamp, 13 And do We not send down from the clouds water in abundance, 14 Thereby to produce grain and plant, 15 and gardens dense with foliage? 16 Surely a time is fixed for the Day of Judgement. 17 The Day that the Trumpet shall be sounded, and ye shall come forth in crowds; 18 And the heaven is opened and will become gateways 19 The mountains put in motion turning into a mirage. 20 Indeed, Gehenna (Hell) has become an ambush, 21 a return for the insolent, 22 there, they shall live for ages, 23 They will not feel cold nor taste any drink 24 except boiling water and pus 25 as a fitting recompense for their deeds. 26 Behold, they were not expecting to be called to account, 27 and roundly denied Our Signs as false. 28 We have kept account of everything in a book. 29 "So taste ye (the fruits of your deeds); for no increase shall We grant you, except in Punishment." 30

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
توجد تمارين تحفيظ للوضعين العربي الأصلي والعربي المخطوط بأحرف إنجليزية فقط. ولا تحتوي الترجمة الإنجليزية على تمارين حفظ.
There are memorization exercises for the original Arabic and English transliterated Arabic modes only. The English translation mode has no memorization exercises.
