The News (Al-Naba')
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej) before The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ About what are they asking one another? 1 Concerning the Great News, 2 that they are in utter disagreement? 3 No! They are going to know. 4 Yes, indeed, before long they will learn all about it. 5 Have We not made the earth as a cradle 6 and fixed the mountains like pegs, 7 And We created you in pairs, 8 and gave you repose in sleep, 9 And have made the night as a covering (through its darkness), 10 And have appointed the day for livelihood. 11 And built seven strong roofs above you. 12 and have placed [therein the sun,] a lamp full of blazing splendour. 13 And have sent down from the rainy clouds abundant water. 14 That We may bring forth thereby corn and herbs, 15 And dense gardens. 16 Surely, the Day of Judgement has an appointed time. 17 On that day the trumpet will be sounded and you will come (to Us) in huge groups. 18 And the heaven shall be opened, and it will become as gates, 19 and the mountains shall be made to vanish, as if they had been a mirage. 20 Verily the Hell is an ambuscade: 21 a home for the transgressors, 22 there, they shall live for ages, 23 and where they will taste neither coolness nor any drink 24 Save a boiling fluid and a fluid, dark, murky, intensely cold, 25 The reward to each is according to what he is. 26 for they never expected to be called to account, 27 having given the lie to Our messages one and all: 28 We have kept account of everything in a book. 29 So taste (of that which ye have earned). No increase do We give you save of torment. 30

Notes and Instructions
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
Read the entire Holy Quran in full color, where pages randomly generate their colors and shapes so that the same scheme never repeats twice.
