The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By [the winds] that pluck out vehemently 1 and those that blow gently, 2 And who glide with ease. 3 And then they speed with foremost speed. 4 And who plan the implementation. 5 The Day when the quaking will cause a violent convulsion, 6 followed by the succeeding, 7 On that Day some hearts shall tremble (with fright), 8 While eyes are downcast 9 They say: Shall we indeed be restored to (our) first state? 10 When we have become bones decayed! 11 They say: that then shall be a losing return. 12 But it shall be only a single scare, 13 When, behold, they will be in the (full) awakening (to Judgment). 14 Did the news of Moosa reach you? 15 His Lord called to him in the Sacred Valley of Towa, 16 'Go to Pharaoh; he has waxed insolent. 17 Then say thou: wouldst thou to be purified? 18 Then I will guide you to your Lord that you may come to fear Him.'" 19 And he showed him the tremendous token. 20 But Pharaoh denied and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned his back, striving. 22 then, he gathered, proclaimed, 23 And he said: I am your Lord, most high. 24 So Allah seized him in exemplary punishment for the last and the first [transgression]. 25 Verily herein is lesson for him who feareth. 26
