Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Ya-Sin. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] 1 By the Quran, full of wisdom (i.e. full of laws, evidences, and proofs), 2 you (Prophet Muhammad) are truly among the Messengers sent 3 and that you follow the right path. 4 The sending down of the Mighty, the Most Merciful 5 so that you may warn a people whose fathers were not warned, and so were heedless. 6 The word has been proved true against the greater part of them: they will not believe. 7 Lo! We have put on their necks carcans reaching unto the chins, so that they are made stiff-necked. 8 And We have put a bar in front of them and a bar behind them, and further, We have covered them up; so that they cannot see. 9 The same is it to them whether thou admonish them or thou do not admonish them: they will not believe. 10 You can only warn one who follows the message and fears the Most Merciful unseen. So give him good tidings of forgiveness and noble reward. 11 It is We indeed who bring back the dead to life, and write down what they send ahead (of their deeds), and traces that they leave behind. We keep an account of all things in a lucid register. 12
