The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By those (angels) that pluck out the soul from depths, 1 And by those who gently draw out the souls of the blessed, 2 by those that swim serenely 3 And who quickly present themselves. 4 And who plan the implementation. 5 On the Day the blast [of the Horn] will convulse [creation], 6 followed by the succeeding, 7 hearts will throb on that Day 8 Eyes be lowered in submission. 9 The disbelievers say, “Will we really return to our former state?” 10 after we have become bones and dust?" 11 They have said, "Such a resurrection will certainly be a great loss". 12 But it will be only a single blow, 13 And lo! they all shall appear on the surface. 14 Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa! 15 When his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa. 16 Go to Firon, surely he has become inordinate. 17 And say to him: "Would you purify yourself (from the sin of disbelief by becoming a believer)", 18 that I might guide you to your Lord, so that you fear (Him)." 19 Then he shewed him the great sign. 20 But he rejected (the truth) and disobeyed. 21 Then he went back hastily. 22 Then he gathered (men) and called out. 23 And proclaimed: "I (Pharaoh) am your Lord the Highest." 24 But Allah did punish him, (and made an) example of him, - in the Hereafter, as in this life. 25 Surely in that is a lesson for him who fears! 26
