The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By those (angels) who pull out (the souls of the disbelievers and the wicked) with great violence; 1 and those that draw out violently, 2 and by [the clouds] that swim serenely and 3 and yet overtake [one another] with swift overtaking: 4 And those who arrange [each] matter, 5 On the Day the blast [of the Horn] will convulse [creation], 6 Followed by the second blast, 7 On that Day will [men's] hearts be throbbing, 8 Cast down will be (their owners') eyes. 9 They say, "What? shall we be brought back to life, 10 even after we have turned into decayed bones?" 11 They say: “That will then be a return with a great loss!” 12 Surely it will need but one shout, 13 And they will wake up suddenly. 14 Hast thou received the story of Moses? 15 When his Lord called to him in the holy valley, Towa: 16 That “Go to Firaun – he has rebelled.” 17 And say to him, 'Would you [be willing to] purify yourself 18 and that I should guide thee to thy Lord, then thou shalt fear?"' 19 Then did (Moses) show him the Great Sign. 20 But Pharaoh denied and disobeyed. 21 then he turned away hastily, 22 And he summoned all his people, 23 Saying: "I am your lord, most high", 24 Allah therefore seized him, in the punishment of this world and the Hereafter. 25 Surely in that is a lesson for him who fears! 26
