When your Lord called out to Moses, saying, "Go to the wrongdoing people, 10 The people of Firon: Will they not guard (against evil)? 11 He replied, "Lord, I am afraid that they will call me a liar. 12 And I shall be embarrassed, and my tongue will not speak plainly, therefor send for Aaron (to help me). 13 And they have upon me a [claim due to] sin, so I fear that they will kill me." 14 Allah said: "By no means! proceed then, both of you, with Our Signs; We are with you, and will listen (to your call). 15 "And when you both come to Fir'aun (Pharaoh), say: 'We are the Messengers of the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists), 16 ‘That you let the Descendants of Israel go with us.’” 17 The Pharaoh said, "Did we not bring you up in our home as an infant and did you not live with us for many years 18 "And thou didst a deed of thine which (thou knowest) thou didst, and thou art an ungrateful (wretch)!" 19 Musa (Moses) said: "I did it then, when I was an ignorant (as regards my Lord and His Message). 20 I fled from you because I feared you. But my Lord has given me judgment and made me one of the Messengers. 21 "And this is the favour with which thou dost reproach me,- that thou hast enslaved the Children of Israel!" 22 Said Pharaoh: "And what [and who] is that 'Sustainer of all the worlds'?" 23 Moses said, "Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, if only you would be convinced." 24 Pharaoh said to those around him: "Do you hear (what he says)?" 25 He said: your Lord and the Lord of your ancient fathers. 26 Pharaoh said to the audience: "This Messenger of yours who has been sent to you is simply mad." 27 Moses continued: "(He is) the Lord of the east and the west, and all between them. If you only had any understanding!" 28 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "If you choose an ilah (god) other than me, I will certainly put you among the prisoners." 29 Moses asked, "What if I were to bring you clear proof (of the existence of God)?" 30 Said he, 'Bring it then, if thou art of the truthful.' 31 So he cast down his rod, and lo! it was an obvious serpent, 32 And he drew forth his hand, and lo, it was white to the beholders. 33
