He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ He frowned and turned away 1 because the blind man approached him! 2 How canst thou know, whether haply he might be cleansed, 3 Or that he might receive admonition, and that the admonition might profit him? 4 As for him who regardeth himself self-sufficient 5 to him thou attendest 6 though you will not be questioned even if he never purifies himself. 7 And for him who came to you striving, 8 While he fears [Allah], 9 you pay no heed to him. 10 No indeed, this is a Reminder; 11 Therefore let whoso will, keep it in remembrance. 12 In honored books, 13 Exalted (in dignity), kept pure and holy, 14 by the hands of scribes 15 noble and pious. 16 Be cursed (the disbelieving) man! How ungrateful he is! 17 Of what did He create him? 18 From a single sperm He created, then proportioned him, 19 Then the way He made easy. 20 Then He causes him to die and be buried. 21 and He will resurrect him whenever He wants. 22 By no means he performed not that which He had commanded him. 23 Let man look at his food: 24 We poured out the rains abundantly, 25 And We split the earth in fragments, 26 And produce therein corn, 27 And grapes and vegetables 28 And Olives and Dates, 29 thickly planted gardens, 30 and fruits and pastures 31 all this as a provision for you and your cattle. 32 But when there comes the Deafening Blast 33 On the Day whereon a man shall flee from his brother, 34 Mother and father, 35 As well as his wife and children. 36 For every one of them on that Day shall be business enough to occupy 37 Some faces on that day will be radiant, 38 laughing, joyous; 39 And [other] faces, that Day, will have upon them dust. 40 and veiled with darkness. 41 those -- they are the unbelievers, the libertines. 42
Almighty Allah's Truth.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
