He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ He frowned and then turned away 1 Because there came to him the blind man, [interrupting]. 2 But what would make you perceive, [O Muhammad], that perhaps he might be purified 3 Or that he might receive admonition, and that the admonition might profit him? 4 Yet you pay attention 5 To him dost thou attend; 6 Though it is no blame to thee if he grow not (in spiritual understanding). 7 And as for him who cometh unto thee running, 8 And whereas he fears, 9 to him thou payest no heed. 10 No! Indeed, these verses are a reminder; 11 and whosoever wills, shall remember it. 12 (This Quran) is also recorded in honorable books, 13 Exalted and holy, 14 Written by the hands of emissaries. 15 Noble and righteous. 16 Woe to man! How ungrateful he is! 17 From what did He create him? 18 Of a sperm-drop He created him, and determined him, 19 Then He eased the way for him; 20 Then He caused him to die and made him to be buried. 21 and then, if it be His will, He shall raise him again to life, 22 Nay, but (man) hath not done what He commanded him. 23 Let Man consider his nourishment. 24 That We pour down the water, pouring (it) down in abundance, 25 And We split the earth in fragments, 26 We make the grain grow out of it, 27 And Grapes and nutritious plants, 28 And the olive and the palm, 29 And gardens, dense with many trees, 30 fruits, and grass. 31 [As] enjoyment for you and your grazing livestock. 32 But when the deafening cry shall be sounded 33 On that day man will run away from his brother. 34 his mother and his father, 35 And his spouse and his son-- 36 Everyone on that Day will have affairs to keep him occupied. 37 Some faces that Day, will be bright (true believers of Islamic Monotheism). 38 laughing and joyous 39 but some faces will be covered with dust 40 and covered by darkness. 41 Such will be the Rejecters of Allah, the doers of iniquity. 42
God the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: He Frowned ('Abasa). Sent down in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
