He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ He frowned and turned (his) back, 1 Because there came unto him a blind man. 2 And what do you know, he may be of the pure! 3 Or take heed and so the reminder might avail him? 4 Now he who waxes indifferent, 5 Unto him thou payest regard. 6 although it is not for you to be concerned if he remained unpurified. 7 And he who comes to thee eagerly 8 And is afraid (of Allah and His Punishment), 9 you pay him no heed. 10 Nay! surely it is an admonishment. 11 So let him who pleases mind it. 12 On honourable pages. 13 lofty and pure, 14 borne by the hands of scribes, 15 and angelic scribes. 16 Accursed be man! How stubbornly he denies the Truth. 17 From what has God created him? 18 From a (sperm) drop He created him and then determined him, 19 Then (as for) the way-- He has made it easy (for him) 20 then causes him to die and buries him, 21 Then, when He willed, He brought him out. (As during the night of Holy Prophet’s ascension, when all the Prophets gathered behind him in the Al Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem. Or when Allah will raise everyone on the Day of Resurrection.) 22 Nay, but man did not fulfil what Allah had enjoined upon him. 23 Then let man look at his food, (and how We provide it): 24 That We pour forth water in abundance, 25 and cleaved the earth, cleaving it asunder; 26 We make the grain grow out of it, 27 And grapes and herbage 28 and olive trees and date-palms, 29 and gardens dense with foliage, 30 And fruits and herbage 31 A provision for you and your cattle. 32 So when the deafening Shout arrives, 33 on the Day when each man shall flee from his brother, 34 And his mother and his father 35 And his wife and his children, 36 Each one of them, that Day, will have enough concern (of his own) to make him indifferent to the others. 37 on that Day some faces will be beaming, 38 and be cheerful and joyous. 39 but some faces will be covered with dust 40 and covered by darkness. 41 those -- they are the unbelievers, the libertines. 42
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

Notes and Instructions
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
