Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
When the sun is folded up, 1 When the stars fall, losing their lustre; 2 and the mountains have been taken, 3 When the she-camels, ten months with young, are left untended; 4 when the savage beasts are gathered 5 And when the seas are filled with flame 6 when the souls are divided into different classes, 7 And when the female (infant) buried alive (as the pagan Arabs used to do) shall be questioned. 8 such as, "For what crime were they murdered?" 9 when the scrolls shall be unrolled, 10 the heavens are unveiled, 11 hell is made to blaze, 12 when Paradise is brought near, 13 (Then) every person will know what he has brought (of good and evil). 14 I swear by the receding stars, 15 That run their course (and) hide themselves, 16 And the close of night, 17 And the morning when it brightens, 18 truly this is the word of a noble Messenger 19 having power, with the Lord of the Throne secure, 20 there he is obeyed and held trustworthy. 21 And your companion is not insane. 22 And indeed he saw him on the clear horizon. (Prophet Mohammed saw Angel Jibreel in his true shape – peace and blessings be upon them). 23 And he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) withholds not a knowledge of the unseen. 24 nor is it a word of an accursed Satan. 25 Whither then go ye? 26 This is certainly the guidance for all (jinn and mankind). 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 And ye shall not will unless it be that Allah, the Lord of the worlds, willeth. 29
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
