The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
When the sun is folded up, 1 when the stars are thrown down, 2 And when the mountains shall made to pass away; 3 the young barren camels are abandoned, 4 The wild beasts stampede on the run, 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 And when the souls are paired. 7 And when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 For what crime she was killed; 9 and when the scrolls of (men's) deeds shall be unfolded, 10 The curtain drawn back from the skies, 11 and when Hell is set ablaze, 12 And when Paradise is brought near, 13 (Then) every person will know what he has brought (of good and evil). 14 So verily I call to witness the planets - that recede, 15 The stars which rise and set, 16 and the night that falls, 17 And by oath of the morning when it takes birth. 18 That this is in truth the word of an honoured messenger, 19 of power, given a rank by the Owner of the Throne 20 One (to be) obeyed, and faithful in trust. 21 Your companion (Muhammad) does not suffer from any mental illness 22 Surely he beheld Him on the clear horizon. 23 And he is not avid of the Unseen. 24 nor is it a word of an accursed Satan. 25 So whither do you stray? 26 Verily, this (the Quran) is no less than a Reminder to (all) the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns). 27 to every one of you who wishes to tread the straight path. 28 Though you cannot desire except as God will, the Lord of all the worlds. 29
