The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
When the sun shall be wound round, 1 when the stars are thrown down, 2 And when the mountains shall made to pass away; 3 the young barren camels are abandoned, 4 when the savage beasts are gathered 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 and when all human beings are coupled [with their deeds,] 7 And when the girl-child that was buried alive is asked 8 For what sin she was killed 9 when the scrolls shall be unrolled, 10 And when the heaven is torn away. 11 And when the Scorch shall be made to blaze, 12 And when Paradise is brought near, 13 [on that Day] every human being will come to know what he has prepared [for himself]. 14 Rather, I swear by the returning 15 Who move straight and stop. 16 And the close of night, 17 And the Dawn as it breathes away the darkness;- 18 behold, this [divine writ] is indeed the [inspired] word of a noble apostle, 19 who is honored in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 Obeyed and worthy there of trust. 21 Your companion (Muhammad) does not suffer from any mental illness 22 And indeed he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) saw him [Jibrael (Gabriel)] in the clear horizon (towards the east). 23 And he is not avid of the Unseen. 24 And it is not the word of an accursed Satan; 25 Then where are you going? 26 Verily this is no less than a Message to (all) the Worlds: 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 But ye shall not will except as Allah wills,- the Cherisher of the Worlds. 29
