The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
When the sun is wrapped up [in darkness] 1 And when the stars fall, 2 and the mountains have been taken, 3 the young barren camels are abandoned, 4 and when all beasts are gathered together, 5 the oceans are brought to a boil, 6 when the souls are divided into different classes, 7 And when the girl [who was] buried alive is asked 8 For what crime she was killed; 9 And when the pages are laid open, 10 The curtain drawn back from the skies, 11 hell is made to blaze, 12 when Paradise shall be brought nigh, 13 then every soul will discover the consequence of its deeds. 14 No indeed; I swear by the alternating stars 15 stars which are visible during the night 16 And the night when it departs, 17 and the morn as it softly breathes: 18 [That] indeed, the Qur'an is a word [conveyed by] a noble messenger 19 having power, with the Lord of the Throne secure, 20 Obeyed and worthy there of trust. 21 And your comrade is not mad. 22 in truth he saw him (Gabriel) on the clear horizon, 23 nor does he grudge (conveying this knowledge about) the Unseen; 24 The Quran is not the word of condemned satan. 25 Then where are you going? 26 This [message] is no less than a reminder to all mankind 27 For whoever wills among you to take a right course. 28 but you shall not, unless Allah wills, the Lord of all the Worlds. 29
