The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
When the sun is wrapped up [in darkness] 1 when the stars shall be thrown down, 2 And when the mountains are removed 3 When the she-camels, ten months with young, are left untended; 4 The wild beasts stampede on the run, 5 And when the seas shall become as blazing Fire or shall overflow; 6 When souls are reunited (with the bodies) 7 and when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 for what crime she was slain, 9 And when the Records of Account are laid bare. 10 when heaven is stripped, 11 And when the hell is kindled up, 12 when Paradise is brought near, 13 (Then) every soul will know what it hath made ready. 14 I swear by the receding stars, 15 That run their course (and) hide themselves, 16 by the night swarming, 17 and the morn as it breathes. 18 Truly, this is the word brought by a noble messenger, 19 Full of power, well-established (in position) with the Lord and Master of the Throne, 20 Obeyed (by the angels), trustworthy there (in the heavens). 21 Your companion is not mad. 22 And indeed he saw him on the clear horizon. (Prophet Mohammed saw Angel Jibreel in his true shape – peace and blessings be upon them). 23 and he is not one to begrudge others the knowledge [of whatever has been revealed to him] out of that which is beyond the reach of human Perception. 24 And the Qur’an is not the recitation of Satan the outcast. 25 So whither do you stray? 26 This is naught else than a reminder unto creation, 27 to everyone of you who wills to walk a straight way. 28 but you shall not, unless Allah wills, the Lord of all the Worlds. 29
