The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
When the sun is overthrown, 1 and when the stars lose their light, 2 and when the mountains are moved, 3 And when the she-camels big with young shall be abandoned, 4 the wild beasts are herded together, 5 And when the seas are set on fire, 6 When the souls are sorted out, (being joined, like with like); 7 and when the girl-child buried alive shall be asked: 8 such as, "For what crime were they murdered?" 9 and when the scrolls [of men's deeds] are unfolded, 10 and when heaven is laid bare, 11 when Hell is set ablaze, 12 And when the Garden is brought near;- 13 (Then) every person will know what he has brought (of good and evil). 14 No indeed; I swear by the alternating stars 15 Those that run [their courses] and disappear - 16 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 17 And the Dawn as it breathes away the darkness;- 18 Most surely it is the Word of an honored messenger, 19 endowed with power and held in honour by the Lord of the Throne -- 20 With authority there, (and) faithful to his trust. 21 And (O people) your companion (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is not a madman; 22 He certainly saw him (Gabriel) high up on the horizon in his original form 23 he is not grudging of the Unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of the cursed Shaitan, 25 Where then are you going? 26 It is not except a reminder to the worlds 27 For him among you who pleases to go straight. 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29
