Now surely, unto Pharaoh's folk [too] came such warnings; 41 they, too, gave the lie to all Our messages: and thereupon We took them to task as only the Almighty, who determines all things, can take to task. 42 Are your people who deny the truth better than those? Or have you been given immunity in the Scriptures? 43 Or do they say: We are a host allied together to help each other? 44 The hosts shall soon be routed and they shall be put to flight. 45 Nay, but the Hour is their appointed time (for their full recompense), and the Hour will be more grievous and more bitter. 46 The evil-doers are victims of error and madness. 47 On the day when they are dragged into the Fire upon their faces (it is said unto them): Feel the touch of hell. 48 Indeed, We have created all things according to a measure. 49 and Our ordaining [a thing and its coming into being] is but one [act,] like the twinkling of an eye. 50 And verily We have destroyed your fellows; but is there any that remembereth? 51 And everything they did is in written records. 52 All things small or great have been written down. 53 Indeed the pious are amidst Gardens and springs. 54 honorably seated in the presence of the All-dominant King. 55
