Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When heaven is split open, 1 And when the stars shall be scattered, 2 And when the seas are flowed out, 3 And when the graves are overturned. 4 Every soul shall know what it has sent before and held back. 5 O man! what hath beguiled thee concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 who created you, formed you and proportioned you? 7 In whatever shape He will He could surely have fashioned you. 8 Nay! But ye do reject Right and Judgment! 9 And yet, verily, there are ever-watchful forces over you, 10 noble, writers 11 They know what you do. 12 Lo! the righteous verily will be in delight. 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 which they will enter on the Day of Judgment 15 And they shall by no means be absent from it. 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 And once again: What could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 18 (It will be) the Day when no person shall have power (to do) anything for another, and the Decision, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
