Shattering (Al-Infitaar)

19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 And when the graves are laid open, 4 then a soul shall know its works, the former and the latter. 5 O man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous? 6 Who created you then formed your symmetry, then gave you right proportion, 7 in whatever composition He wanted. 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 Lo! there are above you guardians, 10 Illustrious scribes 11 who know of all that you do. 12 Indeed, the righteous shall (live) in bliss. 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 roasting therein on the Day of Doom, 15 And they will not be able to keep away therefrom. 16 And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 [It will be] a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to another human being: for on that Day [it will become manifest that] all sovereignty is God's alone. 19

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
