Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder. 1 And when the stars have fallen and scattered; 2 And when the seas are made to flow forth, 3 and when graves are laid open, 4 Every soul will come to know what it has sent ahead and what it left behind. 5 O Man! What deceived thee as to thy generous Lord 6 Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? 7 He moulded you into whatever shape He willed. 8 Rather, you belied the Recompense. 9 Yet over you there are watchers, 10 Honourablel scribes. 11 who know of all that you do. 12 Verily the pious shall be in Delight. 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 roasting therein on the Day of Doom, 15 And will not be able to hide from it. 16 They will never be able to escape from it. Would that you knew what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 It is the day when no soul will have power to do the least for a soul, and God's alone will be done. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
