Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the sky is split, 1 And the stars dispersed, 2 And when the seas are erupted 3 And the sepulchres are overturned, 4 A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 The One Who created you, then moulded you, then made you proper? 7 and composed thee after what form He would? 8 Nay, but ye deny the Judgment. 9 Yet over you there are watchers, 10 noble, writers 11 who know of all that you do. 12 The pious will surely be in heaven, 13 and the libertines shall be in a fiery furnace 14 roasting in it on the Day of Recompense 15 and from which they will find no escape. 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 And once again: What could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
