Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder, 1 When the planets are dispersed, 2 And when the seas are flowed out, 3 and the graves are turned inside out, 4 every soul will see the result of its deeds - those recorded before his death and those which will produce either virtue or evil after his death. 5 O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 who has created thee, and formed thee in accordance with what thou art meant' to be, and shaped thy nature in just proportions, 7 In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together. 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 Verify there are for you guardians, 10 noble, recording, 11 who know all that you do: 12 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 And never therefrom will they be absent. 16 And what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 17 Again, what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
