Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 when the planets are scattered, 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 and when graves are laid open, 4 A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back. 5 O MAN! What is it that lures thee away from thy bountiful Sustainer, 6 who created you, fashioned you and proportioned you, 7 in whatever composition He wanted. 8 No! But you deny the Recompense. 9 Surely there are guardians over you, 10 noble scribes 11 Knowing all what you may do. 12 Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure, 13 The wicked certainly in Hell: 14 roasting therein on the Day of Doom, 15 And will not be absent thence. 16 What will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 17 Again, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 18 It is the day when no soul will have power to do the least for a soul, and God's alone will be done. 19
