The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the sky is rent asunder 1 and hearkens to the command of its Lord, doing what it should; 2 And when the earth shall be stretched forth. 3 And hath cast out all that was in her, and is empty 4 in obedience to the commands of its Lord which are incumbent on it, (the human being will receive due recompense for his deeds). 5 O man! Verily, you are returning towards your Lord with your deeds and actions (good or bad), a sure returning, so you will meet (i.e. the results of your deeds which you did). 6 Then whoso is given his account in his right hand 7 shall have an easy reckoning 8 And he will return to his family rejoicing. 9 But as for him whose record shall be given to him behind his back; 10 he will in time pray for utter destruction: 11 and will enter the Blazing Fire. 12 He used to be happy with his own people; 13 Indeed, he had thought he would never return [to Allah]. 14 But yes! Indeed, his Lord was ever of him, Seeing. 15 No! I swear by the twilight 16 by the night and all that it envelops; 17 and the moon when it is at the full, 18 you shall proceed onwards from stage to stage. 19 What is the matter with them, that they believe not? 20 and when the Koran is recited to them they do not bow? ۩ 21 In fact the disbelievers keep denying. 22 but God knows best whatever they accumulate in their hearts. 23 So announce to them a painful punishment~ 24 except for those who believe and do good deeds. Theirs shall be an unending reward. 25
