The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the sky has split [open] 1 And it listens to the command of its Lord – and that befits it. 2 And when the earth is stretched forth, 3 And shall cast forth that which is therein, and shall become empty. 4 obeying its Lord, as it must do! 5 O mankind, indeed you are laboring toward your Lord with [great] exertion and will meet it. 6 Then as for him who is given his book in his right hand, 7 he shall surely receive an easy reckoning 8 and shall return to his people joyfully. 9 But as for him who is given his book behind his back, 10 He will invoke (his) destruction, 11 And [enter to] burn in a Blaze. 12 Verily he was among his people joyous. 13 He verily deemed that he would never return (unto Allah). 14 Yes indeed, his Lord was ever watching him. 15 So I do call to witness the ruddy glow of Sunset; 16 The Night and its Homing; 17 And by the moon when she is at the full, 18 That ye shall journey on from plane to plane. 19 What aileth them then, that they believe not, 20 And when the Quran is recited to them they do not make obeisance? ۩ 21 But those who have disbelieved deny, 22 but God knows best whatever they accumulate in their hearts. 23 Therefore give them the glad tidings of a painful punishment. 24 except for those who believe and do good deeds. Theirs shall be an unending reward. 25
