Al-Inshiqaaq
The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
25 verses, revealed in Mecca after Shattering (Al-Infitaar) before The Romans (Al-Room)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ WHEN THE SKY is cleft asunder, 1 hearing and obeying its Lord, as it must do; 2 when the earth is stretched out 3 And hath cast out all that was in her, and is empty 4 And has responded to its Lord and was obligated [to do so] - 5 O man, having striven hard towards your Lord, you shall meet Him: 6 Then whoso is given his account in his right hand 7 will be easy, 8 And will return to his people full of joy. 9 But as for him who is given his book behind his back, 10 he will pray for utter destruction 11 And enter into burning fire. 12 Indeed he used to rejoice in his home. 13 and surely thought he would never return (to his Lord). 14 Yes indeed; his Lord had sight of him. 15 But nay! I swear by the sunset redness, 16 by the night and all that it envelops; 17 And the moon when at the full, 18 that you will certainly pass through one stage after another. 19 What is the matter with them? Why do they not believe? 20 and when the Koran is recited to them that they do not prostrate! ۩ 21 In fact, they reject the Quran, 22 and Allah knows very well what they gather. 23 So give them good tidings of a painful chastisement, 24 except for those who believe and do good deeds. Theirs shall be an unending reward. 25

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
