The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By oath of the heaven which contains the constellations. 1 And by the Day promised, 2 by the Witness and the witnessed, 3 Perish the fellows of the ditch, 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel, 5 When they were sitting near it 6 And they were witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 And what did they dislike from the Muslims, except that the Muslims accepted faith in Allah the Most Honourable, the Most Praiseworthy? 8 and the One to whom belongs the heavens and the earth. God is the Witness of all things. 9 Surely for those who persecute believers, men and women, and do not repent afterwards, is the punishment of Hell, and the punishment of burning. 10 As for the righteously striving believers, they will live in Paradise wherein streams flow. This is the greatest triumph. 11 Stern indeed is your Lord's punishment. 12 Indeed it is He Who initiates and redoes. 13 And He is the Oft-Forgiving, Full of Loving-Kindness, 14 in sublime almightiness enthroned, 15 and the Most Effective in His decision. 16 Has not there come to you the story of the hosts, 17 Of Pharaoh and (the tribe of) Thamud? 18 Yet those who deny the truth persist in denial. 19 God encompasses them from all sides. 20 But this is an honored Qur'an 21 (Preserved) on the guarded tablet. 22
