The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven of the constellations! 1 and [then bethink thyself of] the promised Day, 2 and by the witness (Muhammad) and that which is witnessed (the Day of Judgment), 3 THEY DESTROY [but] themselves, they who would ready a pit 4 Full of fire fed by faggots, 5 when they were seated around it 6 And they were witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 They had nothing against them, except that they believed in Allah, the All-Mighty, Worthy of all Praise! 8 to whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. God is witness over all things. 9 Verily, those who put into trial the believing men and believing women (by torturing them and burning them), and then do not turn in repentance, (to Allah), will have the torment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the burning Fire. 10 Surely for those who believe and do the right are gardens with rivers running by. That is the greatest success. 11 Stern indeed is your Lord's punishment. 12 it is He who begins and repeats [His creation], 13 He is the forgiving and the loving, 14 Master of the Honourable Throne. 15 The Doer of whatever He wants. 16 Has there reached you the story of the soldiers - 17 Of the Fir'awn and the Thamud? 18 Yet the unbelievers still belie, 19 but all the while God encompasses them [with His knowledge and might] without their being aware of it. 20 Aye! it is a Recitation glorious, 21 that exists in a well-guarded tablet. 22
