The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the sky, (displaying) the Zodiacal Signs; 1 By the Promised Day! 2 By one that witnesses, and the subject of the witness;- 3 THEY DESTROY [but] themselves, they who would ready a pit 4 with fire abounding in fuel, 5 Behold! they sat over against the (fire), 6 Witnessing what they had done to the believers! 7 They had no other reason for hating them except that they believed in God the mighty, worthy of praise, 8 Him to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness to all things. 9 Those who persecute (or draw into temptation) the Believers, men and women, and do not turn in repentance, will have the Penalty of Hell: They will have the Penalty of the Burning Fire. 10 Verily those who believed and worked righteous works, theirs shall be Gardens whereunder the rivers flow; that is the supreme achievement. 11 Verily the grip of thine Lord is severe. 12 It is He who originates and repeats. 13 He is the forgiving and the loving, 14 Lord of the Throne, the All-glorious, 15 and the Most Effective in His decision. 16 Has the story of the hordes 17 (The armies of) Firaun and the tribe of Thamud. 18 Yet those who deny the truth persist in denial. 19 although Allah surrounds them. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Koran, 21 (Inscribed) in a Tablet Preserved! 22
