The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
I swear by the mansions of the stars, 1 And [by] the promised Day 2 By the witness and the witnessed! 3 Woe to the makers of the pit (of fire), 4 the fire with its fuel, 5 As they sat around it 6 And they were witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 And they did not take vengeance on them for aught except that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praised, 8 to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. Allah witnesses everything. 9 Those who persecute (or draw into temptation) the Believers, men and women, and do not turn in repentance, will have the Penalty of Hell: They will have the Penalty of the Burning Fire. 10 For those who believe and do righteous deeds, will be Gardens; beneath which rivers flow: That is the great Salvation, (the fulfilment of all desires), 11 Verily, (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the Grip (Punishment) of your Lord is severe. 12 It is He Who creates from the very beginning, and He can restore (life). 13 And He is the Fogiving, the Loving, 14 Lord of the Throne, the All-glorious, 15 Doer of what He will. 16 Has it come to you the story of the hosts 17 Of the Fir'awn and the Thamud? 18 And yet the Unbelievers (persist) in rejecting (the Truth)! 19 And Allah encompasses them from behind! (i.e. all their deeds are within His Knowledge, and He will requite them for their deeds). 20 But this is an honored Qur'an 21 (Inscribed) in a Tablet Preserved! 22
