The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heaven adorned with big stars. 1 And by oath of the Promised Day. 2 And the witness and the witnessed, 3 Cursed were the people of the ditch (the story of the Boy and the King). 4 the makers of the fuel-stoked fire! 5 while they sat around it, 6 And they witnessed what they were doing against the believers (i.e. burning them). 7 and their revenge on them was only because they believed in Allah, the Almighty, the Praised, 8 and the One to whom belongs the heavens and the earth. God is the Witness of all things. 9 Indeed those who troubled the Muslim men and Muslim women, and then did not repent – for them is the punishment of hell, and for them is the punishment of fire. 10 As for the righteously striving believers, they will live in Paradise wherein streams flow. This is the greatest triumph. 11 VERILY, thy Sustainer's grip is exceedingly strong! 12 Surely He it is Who originates and reproduces, 13 And He is the Fogiving, the Loving, 14 Master of the Honourable Throne. 15 a sovereign doer of whatever He wills. 16 Have you not heard the story of the hosts 17 [Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 But those who disbelieve are engaged in denial. 19 And Allah encompasses them on every side. 20 Nay! This is a Glorious Quran, 21 in a guarded tablet. 22
