The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
CONSIDER the sky full of great constellations, 1 and [then bethink thyself of] the promised Day, 2 and [of] Him who witnesses [all,] and [of] that unto which witness is borne [by Him]! 3 may the people be condemned those who tortured (the believers) in ditches 4 Of the fuel-fed fire, 5 while they themselves sat around it 6 and they were witnesses of what they did to the believers 7 whom they hate for no other reason than that they believe in God, the Almighty, the One to whom all praise is due, 8 Him unto Whom belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is of all things the Witness. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and believing women, and then do not repent, will surely suffer the punishment of Hell, and the torment of burning. 10 [But,] verily, they who attain to faith and do righteous deeds shall [in the life to come] have gardens through which running waters flow - that triumph most great! 11 Indeed the seizure of your Lord is very severe. 12 It is He who creates all things and causes them to return. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Affectionate, 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 a sovereign doer of whatever He wills. 16 Has it come to you the story of the hosts 17 (The armies of) Firaun and the tribe of Thamud. 18 Yet the unbelievers still belie, 19 And Allah, all unseen, surroundeth them. 20 Nay! This is a Glorious Quran, 21 [Inscribed] in a Preserved Slate. 22
