The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the heaven adorned with big stars. 1 By the Promised Day! 2 by the Witness and the witnessed, 3 Cursed were the people of the ditch (the story of the Boy and the King). 4 Of the fuel-fed fire, 5 when they were seated over it 6 And they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses. 7 They had no other reason for hating them except that they believed in God the mighty, worthy of praise, 8 Him unto Whom belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is of all things the Witness. 9 Those who persecute the believers, men and women, and then have not repented, there awaits them the chastisement of Gehenna, and there awaits them the chastisement of the burning. 10 Indeed those who believed and did good deeds – for them are Gardens beneath which rivers flow; this is the great success. 11 Verily, (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the Grip (Punishment) of your Lord is severe. 12 Surely He it is Who originates and reproduces, 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 Owner of the throne, the Glorious 15 a sovereign doer of whatever He wills. 16 Has the story of the hordes 17 of the Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Nay! The disbelievers (persisted) in denying (Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and his Message of Islamic Monotheism). 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 It is indeed a glorious Quran, 21 upon an imperishable tablet [inscribed]. 22
