The Comet (Al-Taareq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the sky and the night comer - 1 And have you understood what the nightly arriver is? 2 (It is a nightly radiant star). 3 There is no human being but has a protector over him (or her) (i.e. angels incharge of each human being guarding him, writing his good and bad deeds, etc.) 4 Let man consider what he was made of: 5 He was created from ejaculated water 6 That issued from between the loins and ribs. 7 He certainly has the power to bring him back to life. 8 on the Day when all secrets will be laid bare, 9 He shall have neither strength nor helper. 10 By the heaven with its recurring cycle of rain, 11 And the earth which splitteth (with the growth of trees and plants) 12 this (Qur'an) is surely a decisive Word, 13 and it is certainly not a jest. 14 They (disbelievers) plot every evil plan, 15 and I am devising guile. 16 So grant the unbelievers a respite: let them alone for a while. 17
