The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the Event (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) befalls. 1 Then will no (soul) entertain falsehood concerning its coming. 2 Abasing exalting. 3 When the earth is shaken with convulsion 4 and the mountains are totally shattered and crumble to pieces 5 and become like scattered dust particles, 6 And ye shall be sorted out into three classes. 7 (First) those on the right hand; what of those on the right hand? 8 And the People on the Left: and how miserable will be the People on the Left! 9 And the foremost in the race, the foremost in the race: 10 they who were [always] drawn close unto God! 11 They are in Gardens of peace. 12 A multitude of those of old 13 And a few of later ages, 14 On thrones woven [with ornament], 15 they shall recline, facing each other, 16 They will be served by immortal boys, 17 With goblets and ewers and a cup of limpid drink. 18 neither causing headaches, nor intoxication; 19 And fruit; that they may choose. 20 and with the flesh of any fowl that they may desire to eat; 21 and fair maidens with large, lustrous eyes 22 like unto pearls [still] hidden in their shells. 23 as reward for their deeds. 24 They will not hear therein any vain or sinful talk, 25 Except the word peace, peace. 26 The companions of the right - what are the companions of the right? 27 (They will be) among thornless lote-trees, 28 And plantains laden with fruit. 29 In shade long-extended, 30 By water flowing constantly, 31 and an abundance of fruits, 32 Neither ending nor forbidden. 33 And maidens incomparable. 34 Perfectly We formed them, perfect, 35 and made them virgins, 36 chastely amorous, 37 For those on the right hand; 38

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
