The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By heaven and the night-star! 1 And what will make you know what the comer by night is? 2 It is the star shining brightly. 3 There is not a soul but over it is a keeper. 4 So let man consider of what he was created; 5 He was created from ejaculated water 6 that issues from between the loins and the ribs. 7 He certainly has the power to bring him back to life. 8 On a Day whereon secrets shall be out. 9 Then he shall have no power nor any helper. 10 By the heaven with its recurring cycle of rain, 11 And by the earth which splitteth, 12 Indeed, the Qur'an is a decisive statement, 13 not a flippant jest. 14 Verily they are plotting a plot. 15 but I too plan against them. 16 Give respite to the disbelievers and leave them alone for a while. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
