Al-Taareq

The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

By the sky, and by the nightly comer! 1 How will you comprehend what the night star is? 2 (It is) the piercing star. 3 That over each soul there is a guardian. 4 Let the human reflect of what he is created. 5 He was created from a fluid, ejected, 6 Issuing from (the pelvis) between the backbone and the ribs. 7 Indeed Allah is Able to return him. 8 on the Day when all secrets will be laid bare, 9 He will have no strength or helper. 10 I swear by the raingiving heavens, 11 and by the earth ever bursting with verdure, 12 this is indeed a Decisive Word, 13 and is not to be taken lightly. 14 Surely they will make a scheme, 15 and I too am devising a guile. 16 Therefore respite the unbelievers, and delay them for a while. 17

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
