Al-Taareq

The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

By the sky and the night comer - 1 What could let you know what the nightly comer is! 2 The very brightly shining star! 3 No human soul but hath a guardian over it. 4 So let man consider of what he was created; 5 He was created of spurting water 6 Proceeding from between the backbone and the ribs: 7 Verily, (Allah) is Able to bring him back (to life)! 8 upon the day when the secrets are tried, 9 Then he shall have no power nor any helper. 10 Consider the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 and the earth, bursting forth with plants! 12 Lo! this (Qur'an) is a conclusive word, 13 and it is certainly not a jest. 14 They are cunningly devising, 15 But I too am devising a plan. 16 So leave the unbelievers to themselves; respite them awhile. 17

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
