The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
I CALL TO witness the heavens and the night Star -- 1 And have you understood what the nightly arriver is? 2 (It is) the star of piercing brightness; 3 No soul is there but hath over it a watcher. 4 Let man reflect on what he was created from. 5 He is created of water pouring forth, 6 which comes out of the loins and ribs. 7 Verily He is Able to restore him, 8 On the day when hidden things shall be made manifest, 9 So man will neither have any strength nor any aide. 10 By the sky with its returning rain, 11 And the earth which opens up (with verdure), 12 It is surely a decisive utterance; 13 it is not a jest. 14 As for them, they are but plotting a scheme, 15 And I (too) will make a scheme. 16 So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
