The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven and the night-comer 1 What could let you know what the nightly comer is! 2 (It is) the piercing star. 3 There is not a soul that does not have a guardian over it. 4 So let man consider of what he is created: 5 he has been created out of a seminal fluid 6 emanating from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Most surely He is able to return him (to life). 8 on the Day when consciences are examined, 9 when he will be helpless, with no supporter. 10 By the heaven with its recurring cycle of rain, 11 And by oath of the earth which flourishes with it. 12 the Quran is the final word, 13 And it is not a thing for amusement. 14 Indeed the disbelievers carry out their evil schemes. 15 And I am plotting a plot. 16 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal thou gently with them for a while. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
