The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Hallow thou the name of thine Lord, the Most High, 1 Who has created (all things) proportionately, 2 decreed their destinies, and provided them with guidance. 3 Who brings out the pastures 4 and thereupon causes it to decay into rust-brown stubble! 5 We shall make you recite and then you will not forget, 6 Except what Allah should will. Indeed, He knows what is declared and what is hidden. 7 We shall facilitate for you the Easy Way. 8 Remind, if the reminder can be of benefit. 9 Soon whoever fears will heed advice. 10 And the wretched shunneth it. 11 he who [in the life to come] shall have to endure the great fire 12 in which he will neither die nor live therein. 13 Lasting happiness will be for those who purify themselves, 14 remember the name of the Lord, and pray to Him. 15 But nay, [O men,] you prefer the life of this world, 16 and the world to come is better, and more enduring. 17 Lo! This is in the former scrolls. 18 the scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
