The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ (Muhammad), glorify the Name of your lord, the Most High, 1 Who createth, then disposeth; 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 Who brings out the pastures 4 And then makes it dark stubble. 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 Except what Allah pleases, surely He knows the manifest, and what is hidden. 7 And We shall ease thy way unto the state of ease. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder benefits, 9 Those who have fear of God will benefit 10 And the most unfortunate one will avoid it, 11 Who shall enter the great fire; 12 Then he will neither die in it, nor live. 13 Surely he will succeed who grows in goodness, 14 remembering his Lord's name and praying. 15 But rather you prefer the life of this world! 16 While the hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Verily! This is in the former Scriptures, 18 Writs of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
