The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who has created (everything), and then proportioned it; 2 Who measureth, then guideth; 3 who brings forth the pastures, 4 And then makes it dark stubble. 5 We will make you recite so you shall not forget, 6 unless God wills it to be otherwise. He knows all that is made public and all that remains hidden. 7 And We will make your way smooth to a state of ease. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder profits, 9 He who fears [God] will heed the reminder, 10 but it will be ignored by the most unfortunate, 11 Who will enter the great Fire and made to taste its burning, 12 Then he will neither die in it, nor live. 13 To happiness [in the life to come] will indeed attain he who attains to purity [in this world,] 14 And mentions the name of his Lord and prays. 15 However, (the disbelievers) prefer the worldly life 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and everlasting. 17 Verily this is in Writs ancient 18 The scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
