Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Praise the name of thy Lord the Most High, 1 Who has created (everything), and then proportioned it; 2 Who determined and guided them, 3 Who brings out the pastures 4 Then maketh it to stubble dusky. 5 We shall make you recite and then you will not forget, 6 Except as Allah wills: For He knoweth what is manifest and what is hidden. 7 We shall ease you to follow the way of Ease. 8 So remind them if reminder is profitable: 9 He who fears [Allah] will be reminded. 10 But it will be avoided by those most unfortunate ones, 11 He will be cast into the Great Fire. 12 In which he will neither die nor live. 13 Prosperous is he who has cleansed himself, 14 remember the name of the Lord, and pray to Him. 15 But no, you prefer the life of the world, 16 although the life to come is better and more enduring. 17 This is surely in the earlier Books, 18 the scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
