The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who hath created and then proportioned, 2 Who hath ordained laws. And granted guidance; 3 The One Who produced pasture. 4 Then made it dry and dark. 5 We shall make you recite and then you will not forget, 6 Except what Allah pleases, surely He knows the manifest, and what is hidden. 7 We shall make all your tasks easy. 8 REMIND, THEN, [others of the truth, regardless of] whether this reminding [would seem to] be of use [or not]: 9 He who fears [Allah] will be reminded. 10 but aloof from it will remain that most hapless wretch 11 and suffer the heat of the great fire 12 Wherein he will neither die nor live. 13 To happiness [in the life to come] will indeed attain he who attains to purity [in this world,] 14 And who remembereth the name of his Lord, and then prayeth. 15 But no, you prefer the life of the world, 16 although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Verily! This is in the former Scriptures, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
