Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who created and proportioned 2 And the One Who kept proper measure and then guided. 3 Who brought forth the pasture, 4 and then made it into a blackish straw. 5 We shall make you recite so that you will not forget, 6 Except what Allah pleases, surely He knows the manifest, and what is hidden. 7 We shall ease thee unto the Easing. 8 REMIND, THEN, [others of the truth, regardless of] whether this reminding [would seem to] be of use [or not]: 9 The admonition will be received by those who fear (Allah): 10 Only the wretch will turn aside, 11 He who will be flung to the great Fire 12 Then he will neither die in it, nor live. 13 He indeed hath attained bliss who hath cleansed himself, 14 who remembers the name of his Lord and prays, shall indeed be successful. 15 Nay, but you prefer the present life; 16 While the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Verily! This is in the former Scriptures, 18 The scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
