The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 who creates [every thing,] and thereupon forms it in accordance with what it is meant to be, 2 who determined and guided, 3 Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 And then doth make it (but) swarthy stubble. 5 We shall make you recite so that you will not forget, 6 Except what Allah, may will, He knows what is apparent and what is hidden. 7 We shall ease you to the easy. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder benefits, 9 in mind will keep it he who stands in awe [of God,] 10 But it will be avoided by the wretched, 11 even he who shall roast in the Great Fire, 12 wherein they will neither live nor die. 13 He indeed hath attained bliss who hath cleansed himself, 14 who remembers the name of his Lord and prays, shall indeed be successful. 15 Nay (behold), ye prefer the life of this world; 16 although the life to come is better and more enduring. 17 Indeed this is in the former scriptures. 18 the scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
