The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who hath created, and further, given order and proportion; 2 and who determines the nature [of all that exists,] and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment,] 3 who brings forth the pastures, 4 and then made it into a blackish straw. 5 We shall teach you (the Quran) and you will not forget it 6 except what Allah wills, surely, He knows all that is (spoken) aloud and what is hidden. 7 We shall take you slowly towards ease. 8 Therefore give admonition in case the admonition profits (the hearer). 9 Those who fear will understand. 10 but aloof from it will remain that most hapless wretch 11 He will be cast into the Great Fire. 12 Wherein he will neither die nor live. 13 To happiness [in the life to come] will indeed attain he who attains to purity [in this world,] 14 And remembereth the name of his Lord, so prayeth, 15 Nay! you prefer the life of this world, 16 Though the life to come is better and abiding. 17 This is surely in the earlier Books, 18 the scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
