The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
CONSIDER the night as it veils [the earth] in darkness, 1 And [by] the day when it appears 2 And Him Who hath created male and female, 3 That your endeavour is for different ends. 4 Then as for him who giveths and feareth Him. 5 And believes in the best [reward], 6 We will facilitate for him the easy end. 7 As for him who was a miser and behaved with aversion (to Allah), 8 And gives the lie to Al-Husna (see Verse No: 6 footnote); 9 We shall facilitate the path to affliction 10 When he falls (into Hell), his wealth will not help him. 11 Surely, in Our hands is guidance, 12 And indeed the Hereafter and this world both belong to Us. 13 Therefore I have warned you of a Fire blazing fiercely (Hell); 14 None will [enter to] burn therein except the most wretched one. 15 even he who cried lies, and turned away; 16 But those most devoted to Allah shall be removed far from it,- 17 Who gives his wealth in order to be pure. 18 and confers no favour on any man for recompense, 19 Other than seeking the glory of his Lord, most high, 20 He verily will be content. 21
Almighty God's Truth.
