The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By oath of the night when it covers 1 And by oath of the day when it shines 2 And by Who created the male and female, 3 Verily your endeavour is diverse. 4 As for him who gives and is godfearing 5 And (in all sincerity) testifies to the best,- 6 We shall facilitate for him the Way to Bliss. 7 And as for him who stinteth and is heedless, 8 and he belied the finest 9 We will ease him toward difficulty. 10 And his wealth will not avail him when he perishes. 11 Lo! Ours it is (to give) the guidance 12 and to Us belongs the Hereafter as well as the present world -- 13 So, I warn you of the blazing Fire. 14 None shall enter it but the most unhappy, 15 even he who cried lies, and turned away; 16 But the righteous one will avoid it - 17 Those who spend their wealth for increase in self-purification, 18 And not [giving] for anyone who has [done him] a favor to be rewarded 19 but only to seek the good pleasure of his Lord Most High. 20 And indeed, soon he will be very pleased. 21
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
